Sunhillo Quality Policy
- The Sunhillo Corporation Quality Assurance (QA) organization has the responsibility for implementing the QA program for the company. The Sunhillo Quality Manager (QM) reports directly to the President and CEO and has overall responsibility for quality assurance programs and will identify and direct company-wide Quality Assurance Engineers (QAE). The QA Manager will be the primary interface with the customer Quality Assurance Manager. The QA team will provide independent and objective evaluation of process execution and work product quality. This separation of QA responsibilities from product team organizations ensures the independence and organizational freedom to objectively evaluate product and process, monitor project, product and program development and maintenance activities, and to determine corrective action and verify compliance.
The Sunhillo Quality Manual (SUN9001) describes at the highest level, the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and their interactions. Our Sunhillo Procedures Manual (SUN9100) further defines the process for each area including software design, development & peer reviews, change management, verification and validation.
Sunhillo Corporation’s software process and procedures were developed using MIL-STD-2167A, MIL-STD-498, IEEE Std 12207, and SEI CMMI as guidelines. The Software Policies (SUN9200) document defines the policies based upon the Key Process Areas as defined in SEI CMMI. The Software Process (SUN9119) document provides a structure for the disciplined application of software engineering practices. Detailed work Instructions provide guidance with regard to design/code reviews, coding standards, change management, library controls, and verification/validation activities. These processes and procedures provide the basis for continuous planning, controlling, performing, and reviewing of projects in order to produce software of the highest quality for Sunhillo Corporation’s external and internal customers. The goal is to improve the quality of software and hardware, lower cost, and achieve repeatability.
Sunhillo’s Quality Management System (QMS) has been registered to ISO9001:2000 conformance by Intertek Systems Certification, a Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) accredited third-party auditing and assessment company, in October 2005. A copy of the Sunhillo Corporation ISO9001:2000 certification is available to the customer.
