Setting up a BVLOS operation is similar to creating a mini ATC atmosphere where mission-critical surveillance data is needed at the core. SureSky couples Sunhillo’s products and systems integration expertise with other industry sources to provide a complete infrastructure to safely fly BVLOS.
Sunhillo’s SureSky provides the core surveillance piece of the puzzle by acquiring disparate surveillance sources such as radars and ADS-B and providing UAS/BVLOS operations a feed for a surveillance display for situational awareness like Sunhillo’s Surveillance Monitoring System (SMS). SureSky is radar agnostic and ideal for building out BVLOS infrastructure utilizing multiple sensor solutions.
In addition to the surveillance sensors Sunhillo’s UAS-C technology converts UAS telemetry data to a radar track which then is displayed alongside other crewed aircraft on Sunhillo’s SMS for a ubiquitous surveillance picture of all aircraft. Minus the UAS targets this is similar to how the US Army and Air Force have deployed Sunhillo’s SMS to receive the core data they require for situational awareness.
The final piece of SureSky is our UAS-C which has a built in capability to provide VOIP connection from the RPIC to an operations center or a cooperative ATC control tower solving a major milestone in full integration.

CONOPS Details
The UAS-C System combines multiple Sunhillo FAA/DoD solutions and packages them for a UAS infrastructure for Situational Awareness.
SureSky provides the core surveillance infrastructure to deploy a BVLOS operation or corridor. The ability to acquire and display radar and ADS-B covers all aircraft crewed or uncrewed in the sky and being radar agnostic Sunhillo’s Brigantine SGP can integrate multiple disparate sensors.
A critical piece for a surveillance display is surveillance fusion. When integrating multiple surveillance sensors that overlap the surveillance fusion eliminates the duplicate targets and declutters the display. Sunhillo’s Surveillance Monitoring System is a highly configurable and customizable display that can ingest surveillance sensor data provided by radars, ADS-B, UAS telemetry and other potential feeds. Audible and visual alerts, including having an Ownship view are a critical piece for human-in-the-loop detect and avoid. The SMS can provide Recording and Playback which is used to replay missions for training, analysis, and/or reviewing incidents.
SureSky can also integrate with UTM systems utilizing a standard API. Sunhillo’s brings its long history of ATC systems integration and applies it to BVLOS operations. Sunhillo will deploy the core surveillance systems shown in the conops and optionally act as an integrator for related systems. Using partners and past experience Sunhillo can integrate UTM systems, radar sensors, voice capability, weather data, remote ID, and develop a BVLOS waiver case to safely deploy mission-critical operations.
CONOPS Breakdown:
Radars: 1 or more Radars are acquired by the Brigantine SGP (Or RICI/Longport for Serial) for protocol conversion a Distribution to the surveillance display
ADS-B: Sunhillo’s Margate II ADS-B Receivers acquire the data via a directly connected antenna and cable and can be sent directly to the Brigantine SGP
UAV Tracking: Sunhillo’s UAS-Connector links to the GCS and converts the telemetry data to a radar track. Alternatively future integration of Remote ID is being implemented.
Multi-Track Fusion: The Brigantine SGP’s SureLine Software processes multiple tracks from radar and ADS-B and utilizes the Multi-Track Fusion software which selects the best one for display minimizing screen clutter on the surveillance Display
Surveillance Display: Sunhillo Surveillance Monitoring System (SMS) can receive and display Radar and ADS-B tracks on one screen. The SMS is highly configurable with geographic filtering and alerts providing a proven, off-internet, DoD deployed surveillance display.
