Data Diode Solutions

FIPS 140-3 Validated

Sunhillo’s Data Diode Product Line protects the integrity of a secure surveillance network by strictly enforcing a one-way-only flow of data from the secure network to the unsecured network. Within radar surveillance data networks, it is necessary to broadcast radar data from a protected network out onto an open, unprotected network. To fulfill this requirement without jeopardizing the safety and integrity of the secure network assets from the threats of inbound cyber-attacks, it is necessary to prevent data and control communication from the low-security side of the network (Unsecure) from reaching the high-security side of the network (Secure). The Sunhillo Data Diodes accomplish this by implementing a 100% hardware-enforced security protocol that cannot be disabled or bypassed by any software means.

Sunhillo’s Data Diode product line includes the SureSentry stand-alone unit and a module that can be inserted directly into the Brigantine SGP. The SureSentry and module (when inserted into a Brigantine) are FIPS-140-3 Validated. FIPS 140-3 is a widely recognized standard that provides assurance to users, that handle sensitive data or operate in regulated industries, that their cryptographic solutions are secure and can withstand various attacks.

The Brigantine Data Diode and SureSentry use Sunhillo’s FIPS 140-3 certified cryptographic library to provide validated cryptography for the protection of sensitive information where encryption is used (i.e., https, ssh). By adopting FIPS 140-3, Sunhillo can proactively address emerging cybersecurity threats and maintain a strong security posture.
