Ventnor Power Issue

Sunhillo has discovered a potential issue with our Ventnor product relating to the EXAR 7724 DC-DC power controller chip which is used to supply DC power to the Ventnor system circuitry. The EXAR 7724 power part in some instances can fail causing the Ventnor system to power off and not be able to power back on.

SureLine® Vulnerability

In the SureLine application software used on Sunhillo communication appliances, v8.7.0 and older, a vulnerability was discovered that allows unauthenticated operating system (OS) command injection making it possible for an attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges using the browser interface. This vulnerability has been disclosed under CVE-2021-36380.

First Generation Surveillance Gateway Processor

This is formal notification that the First Generation Surveillance Gateway Processor (SGP) product is being declared End of Life. Based upon a commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware platform, the first generation SGP required regular software updates to support changes to the COTS hardware. With the successful introduction and adoption of the second-generation Brigantine SGP, which is based upon Sunhillo’s Brigantine hardware platform, it has been decided to phase out the first generation. The Sunhillo designed Brigantine platform provides a more stable platform for Sunhillo’s SureLine® Software Suite as well as additional capabilities, such as dual redundant power supplies and up to 12 Ethernet ports as standard.
